WW2 German 'Double Erel' Luftwaffe Officers Cap

A high quality Luftwaffe officers cap by Robert Lubstein with double Erel trademarks to cap band & crown. This cap could have been worn by a member of flight crew , paratrooper troops or other arm .
Cap body constructed from doeskin wool with bullion insignia & double mounted chin cords. I have examined the wool of this cap & can find no moth holes or nips whatsoever. The interior champagne lining has celluloid sweatband with faint embossed trademark & the outline of the Erel diamond still visible. Leather sweatband is perforated to front for more comfort to the wearer.
With only minor service wear there is some slight fraying to the top front of the saddle form from constant on & off handling by the wearer.
